Does this sound familiar?

Most men don't book therapy for "anxiety". They book it because something has to give.

You might not have a name for it. That's fine. These are the kinds of things people tell me in the first call.

  • Snapping at the people you love, then hating yourself for it
  • Lying awake running through work, money, everything
  • Drinking a bit more than you'd like to admit
  • Feeling flat, just going through the motions
  • Your relationship has gone quiet — or keeps blowing up
  • Something happened that you can't stop replaying
  • A big change: separation, redundancy, becoming a dad, a loss
  • Fine on paper, but something isn't right

If any of that landed, you're not broken — and you don't have to sort it out alone.

Let's talk it through
Who I work with

Therapy that fits where you are right now.

I mainly work with adult men, and with couples. If you're not sure whether I'm the right fit, ask on the free call — I'll tell you honestly.

Men, one-to-one

A private space to deal with stress, anger, low mood, or whatever has been building up.

Individual therapy

Couples

For partners who keep having the same argument — or have stopped talking altogether.

Couples therapy

Fathers & new dads

The pressure, the identity shift and the lack of sleep nobody warned you about.

Support for fathers

Life transitions

Separation, redundancy, bereavement, retirement — when the ground moves under you.

Change & loss
How it works

Three steps. No pressure at any of them.

  1. 1

    A free 15-minute call

We talk briefly by phone or video. You tell me a little about what's going on, ask anything you like, and get a sense of whether I'm the right person.

  2. 2

    Your first session

Fifty minutes to go through things in more depth and agree what you want to get out of therapy. There's no obligation to book more.

  3. 3

    Regular sessions

Usually weekly at a set time, in person or online. We review how it's going along the way, and you decide when you're done.

About me

I'm [YOUR NAME]. I'll be straight with you.

I'm a [ACCREDITATION]-registered psychotherapist working with men and couples in [TOWN] and online. [ONE LINE ON YOUR BACKGROUND — e.g. a previous career, or why you trained.]

My style is direct and warm. I'll ask real questions, I won't just nod along, and I won't hide behind jargon. Some sessions are practical; others are about slowing down enough to notice what's actually going on.

My approach

Therapy isn't lying on a couch being analysed. It's two people in a room working out what's really going on — and what to do about it.

What it is

  • A confidential hour that's entirely about you
  • Practical where it needs to be — tools for anger, sleep and stress
  • Going deeper into the patterns that keep repeating
  • At your pace — you decide what we talk about

What it isn't

  • Being told what to do or how to feel
  • Endless talk about your childhood (unless that's useful)
  • A sign that you're weak or failing
  • An open-ended commitment — we review together regularly

Confidentiality

What you say here stays here.

Everything you tell me is confidential. I won't contact your GP, employer or family without your permission.

There are a few legal exceptions — mainly if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm. I'll explain these on the first call so there are no surprises.

Notes are kept securely in line with UK GDPR. I work under the [BODY] Ethical Framework and have regular clinical supervision.

FAQ

Questions people often ask

Something not covered here? Ask on the free call — nothing is a silly question.

Most people don't, at first. That's normal, and helping with it is my job. We'll start with whatever's on your mind — even if that's "I'm not sure why I'm here."
